Officina Battaglin, renowned for its unparalleled craftsmanship in Italian custom bicycle design, proudly presents its most exclusive creation yet: the FONDATORE, a super-limited edition of only 5 pieces worldwide.
This extraordinary model represents the pinnacle of the Edizione Anniversario frames, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the company’s founding by legendary cyclist Giovanni Battaglin.
The FONDATORE is not just a bike—it’s a work of art, blending history, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology in a design that will never be repeated. This limited run of 5 bikes is entirely custom-built to the measurements of each owner, ensuring a perfect fit for every rider.
Modeled after Officina Battaglin’s flagship Portofino frame, the FONDATORE features oversized lugs designed specifically for Columbus Spirit HSS tubing, combined with a proprietary Italian-made carbon fork that enables fully internal cable routing for a seamless, sleek look.
An All-Gold Celebration of Craftsmanship
The FONDATORE takes Officina Battaglin’s signature luxury finishes to a new level. The frameset is gold-plated in its entirety: the contrast between the gleaming gold frame and the sleek, dark carbon components creates a racing aesthetic like no other Battaglin frame in existence.

Each bike comes complete with the finest Italian components, including the Campagnolo Super Record EPS groupset with matching gold brake levers, Campagnolo Bora Ultra WTO wheels, a Deda Alanera handlebar, and a Fizik Antares saddle—all accented with gold details.

Hand-numbered by a Cycling Legend
What truly sets the FONDATORE apart, however, is its personal touch. Each of the five frames has been individually numbered by Giovanni Battaglin himself. Handwritten by the founder on the top tube, the serial number is a tribute to the enduring legacy of the brand and Battaglin’s lifelong dedication to cycling.

Performance Meets the Roots of Italian Design
The attention to detail extends beyond the bike itself: each FONDATORE is delivered with a specially designed Italian-made metal display stand, dubbed the “Leonardo,” inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man—a symbol of balance and harmony, much like the FONDATORE itself.
Exclusivity at Its Finest
All 5 units of the FONDATORE have already been sold, each going to existing Officina Battaglin owners. This exclusivity cements the FONDATORE’s status as one of the most coveted creations in the world of custom bicycles.
