[VIDEO] PAINTING your STEEL ROAD BIKE: this CUSTOM BUILD combines 2 cromovelato colors!

By Editorial Team

Is it possible to create a unique paint job for your steel road bike using more than one cromovelato color?

The answer is yes.

And in this video, we take a closer look at a custom Power+ EVO finished in 2 different cromovelato colors – orange and black.

So, here’s the story behind this custom steel road bike.

Jacques, the owner, is a cyclist from France.

He was looking for a custom-made steel road bike with a modern look and feel…

And he decided to reserve one of the 40 build slots available in 2020 for our Power+ EVO.

The process started with an individual consultation with Giovanni and Alex Battaglin to design the frame geometry to Jacques’s measurements.

Jacques’s Power+ EVO was built from Columbus Spirit HSS tubing personalized to our specifications.

In fact, we engineered these special head tube and downtube shapes to allow for an integrated cockpit with fully hidden cable routing.

For the frameset’s paint job, Jacques had a very specific request: he wanted to combine two cromovelato colors, orange and black.

So, we worked on a custom paint scheme finishing the fork, the stem, the handlebar, and the seatpost in black cromovelato.

We finished most of the frame in orange cromovelato, adding some black on the rear stays.

For the full build, Jacques decided to equip his Power+ EVO frameset with a Sram Red eTap AXS 12-speed groupset and the Deda Elementi SL45 carbon clincher wheels.
